Lessons from the Light a Powerful Story

I recently read a wonderful book entitled Lessons from the Light.   The sub-title, "A true story of angels and healing," perfectly describes this intriguing book written by Myra Starr with John Mulkey.

The story begins with Myra's description of her death experience.  Not "near death," but death.  She was declared dead, a sheet pulled across her face, as Myra watched from above her body.  She returned after being told that she was to "teach and heal."

Convulsions and seizures from a probable allergic reaction left her with a broken jaw, affected vision and other injuries.  During her physical recovery, Myra had other experiences to deal with - emotional ones.  The angels she could now see and speak with were presenting a dichotomy to the woman who was known as "the terminator" at work.  Not because she looked like Schwartzenegger but because she fired a lot of employees.  Imagine this hard-hearted woman confronted with unseen spirits!

Lessons from the Light easily carries the reader along with Myra as she confronts new beliefs and experiences. Along the way, the author remembers having had encounters as a child and being told not to talk about them.  She talks about her difficult journey to accept her skills as a powerful healer.  And she reveals her joy in learning that spreading love and joy are why we are really on Earth.

Along with her story, Myra gives breathing exercises that help the practitioner get in touch with their inner self - their truths.  She also describes simple healing techniques that anyone who centers themselves can practice.  And along the way, the reader gets an insight into how each action we take - each thought we have - "can bring peace and joy to the both the giver and receiver."

I am privileged to call Myra friend and can gladly attest she is a heartfelt and generous healer.  She lives with gratitude and joy - she is "the real deal."  Myra's lovely story is worth a look.  I hope you will check out her book on Amazon or B&N.
